The blade guide is poorly designed. The blades are not strong and sharp enough.

I purchased this product after hearing a recommendation from a close family member who liked it. I believe they had an earlier version that couldn't be analyzed. I cook different steaks several times a week and thought I would like that too. Yesterday I tried it for the first time on a rather marbled roast. It was very difficult for me to get into the meeting. I think the blades weren't sharp enough. Although I used quite a bit of force. The problems started when I tried to disassemble the device. The blades came out easily. But the lower blade guide was very difficult to remove. It took me about two minutes to finally unzip it. I put it in the dishwasher as recommended. The first problem after removing it was that the top was partially filled with water. It didn't have adequate drainage even though it was standing upright on me. I'm afraid this will lead to a build up of bacteria. The biggest problem I still have is not getting the blades back into the blade guide. I tried for 10 minutes. I even had to wear cheater glasses. I've tried different blade covers but they just don't fit the guide. I also tried poking some of the blades with an eraser. But he just can't get in. I think the blade guide should have large beveled edges on the side of the blade to allow the blades to slide inward. Since this is a brand new device, I'm worried that everyone will have this problem with repeated use. I'm surprised this is an issue on a brand new device. Overall I am very disappointed.
