Pretty good but a few issues - cracked over time

We've bought a couple of Copco water bottles and love them but there are a few issues. They sometimes lick when placed or turned over, even though everything appears to be tight. There's some sort of gasket at the junction of the two parts, so we can't figure it out. My husband doesn't like what's holding the cap (I like it) so we removed it from a few bottles but it's tricky. I also don't like rubber on the outside because it looks like a place for moisture to collect and germs to breed. But it's also hard to get out of the bottle. These are large bottles but they fit nicely in our coasters. We also bought several of their smaller bottles but they are all the same size. In fact, the tops are interchangeable - only the height of the bottom differs. Update August 17th: While I still like these bottles in general (we have 5 or 6 different sizes), they are far from perfect. . Over time, a new problem emerged. Very small cracks formed around all mouthpieces. Unfortunately, water is now leaking from under the ceiling, probably due to some serious cracks. I hand wash them most of the time, but put them in the dishwasher about every 2 weeks for a "sanitizing" wash. My dishwasher does NOT have a heat dry cycle and it's probably dishwasher safe, but I'm wondering if using the dishwasher made the cracking worse.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Good but not great
