Works to protect against Heat and Scrapes & Cuts
I used these while stick and wire feed welding to cover from just under my gloves to my upper arm. Did not come into play much during wire feed welding but they sure did a great job with the spatter when stick welding. I could see the spatter but felt nothing. I also tested these while hauling and stacking firewood I was splitting. Usually my arms are covered in scratches, abrasions and cuts at the end of a day doing this chore. I had zero cuts or scratches using these.I had no reason to tempt fate so I skipped trying to slit my wrist with these on :)
