Most things like this are stretchy … you pull it around your body stretching it as you go and then you Velcro it together … nope … not this one. It doesn’t get tight. It will only get as tight as you can suck in your stomach and then Velcro it together … so as far as you can suck in your stomach … that’s as tight as it will get. This brace has provided my husband with back support and pain relief after a compression fracture of the vertebra. Because the brace is not always comfortable when he is sitting (which would be true of any brace, I imagine), he takes it off when he is in his recliner, but wears it when he is walking around. Really helped ease my back pain, great support. Not as comfortable when you have to sit, or bend over. Very good if you need to do a lot of walking and standing. Easy to put on and adjust for comfort.

It was about 4/5 stars overall. I needed something to help to relieve some pressure to my lower back after a car accident. So I could at least stay on a 5 hour work shift. It didn’t completely alleviate the pain/pressure but it helped a lot.

Good strong velcro. The center of the belt tends to not be even and presses in to your more than the outside. My other belt I lost was allot better, but this works.

The only brace I’ve used before is the $9.99 one Home Depot sells for lifting. It was a savior when I had lower back pain. I just didn’t like having the straps. I bought this one and it’s almost as good. It does tend to rise up more often than the Home Depot one (so I have to pull it down back in place). But it does take the pressure off my back and helps it heal.

For moderate and arthritis and degenerating back, this support provides much needed pain relief and gives ability to move without struggling.

Helps to have an assistant to get on and adjust since I have a bad shoulder and can't reach behind me. And I'm a really fat man so good to have a loving wife to help.
