I like them overall but my one complaint is this: Durring work I'm taking these on and off quite a lot and I wish it was like my older pair where the on/off was part of the volume dial. Which had a satisfying physical click off when you rolled it down all the way. That way you know it's been turned iff and your not wasting battery life. The last pair of AM/FM head phones my dad had was another brand. The batteries melted in the heat and had to find another. zohan brand and he didn't believe what he was missing. Awesome for backyard work. Crystal clear sound. Comfortable and lightweight. He loves them!

I use this mainly to protect my ears when using the weedeater. These are comfortable and do a good job of reducing the noise. I am less impressed with the radio. It doesn't seem to get many stations and the signal fades in and out.

Does not pick up many stations but I live in the country so I'm sure if you are in a larger metro area they would work better. Replaced a set of Worktunes that the earpads fell apart after about 5 years.

My 87 year old grandfather was having a really hard time finding a replacement "music headset" after his old one broke. ("Music" meaning FM radio, not just AM radio). I bought these to pair with my Uniden Bearcat scanner at this year’s Indy 500. They performed well. The noise cancellation is great and the volume levels were good. When you insert the 3.5 mm plug, the unit automatically goes into aux. mode. When the race was over and I removed the Jack the headset was stuck in aux mode with no way to reset it. Unfortunately, I had to return the unit. It would be a stellar headset if there was a switch to toggle back and forth between AM/FM and Aux mode.

18 Month Review - Still very happy with the product. Despite all of my abuse (dropping it, banging it into tree limbs, etc.) it's still working fine with my IPOD. Occasionally use the FM radio but my original review of it's limited range still stands. Battery life is excellent, getting 4+ hours of use from a single set of rechargeable batteries. Works great cant hear hardly anything with them on , radio works great, but one thing needs to be worked on they are super tight and press glasses into your head, can cause headaches.

Just wearing the headphones without turning on the radio cuts out a great deal of external sound, almost everything. Fit great and better design then the Stanley ones. Stanley battery compartment is the worst design ever, these ones it’s a normal compartment and no issue with battery getting loose witch causes it to shut off.

It was for a gift and the person was super happy, he really liked how it sounds, although they put a little pressure on it. It has good material, they are resistant.

These are very similar to the ones that 3M makes, and of which I have bought several pair in the past, but more attention is paid to the details. The padding across your head is thicker, and instead of cheap foam, the ear cups have higher quality webbed filling, that I don’t think comes out like the foam ones do. I generally have worn out the old 3M ones in the past. But I have never blamed them for breaking down, because I always wear these when mowing my 2 acres in the very hot sun of summer,

I purchased the EM042 to wear while on my mower or tractor. I listen to a distant radio station I like, but this set brings it in clear. I can listen while the outside noise of my equipment is greatly dampened. The headset is comfortable.
