I was unable to install the Python GUI due to a dependency on Wx. I didn't struggle too much because I'd really rather use the CLI. I was pleased that the command line interface is simple and open source and uses a simple serial protocol, making it easy to program with or without the CLI binary. Otherwise, it does what it says on the tin: it makes it easy to monitor and manage I2C traffic without expensive tools or proprietary software. The first time I used it, just trying to test it, it helped me find a problem in the code that I previously thought worked (the stop bit was missing on serial transfers that shouldn't be restarted).
