Review on Nikon D3100 DSLR Camera with Auto Focus-S Nikkor Zoom Lens (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Haissam Abo Fahd ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Do not hesitate to buy, the quality is amazing for the price.

The first month after the acquisition, I shot on a kit lens 18-55, the quality is good, but it is dark. Then I bought a Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8. The lack of autofocus is not at all embarrassing, it even helps the process of shooting and learning a little. There are no complaints about the camera - for 3.5 months it worked at 100% and caused wild delight. Soon I'm going to buy a Nikon 55-200 in addition to the kit, to expand the possibilities.

Pros
  • Small dimensions, fits comfortably in the hand, rubberized handle is more convenient than plastic. Convenient control - turned it on, set it up the way you need, and then take pictures, changing the shutter speed, aperture and something set to the third button (in my case it is iso) - this is another convenience - there are no extra buttons that can confuse, and are not particularly needed for a beginner. The quality of the pictures is, perhaps, its main plus! And I'm not talking about 14mp, I myself set the size of the pictures to medium (3456 * 2304). The whale lens is very good - the colors are beautiful, although the autofocus misses a little (I shoot manually). There is no noise at all up to iso 800, at 1600 they are almost invisible, and in capable hands Hi2 will be noise-free.
Cons
  • Despite the fact that I called its dimensions a virtue, it still sometimes seems small and uncomfortable. (well, that's more of a quibble) The viewfinder is small, which also sometimes causes inconvenience.
