We use these bags for wedding favors and they work GREAT (see attached photo for an example from our test run). I was able to gum them up, which many brands can't do. . However, I had to be careful to let the ink dry completely to avoid smudging. I was very happy with this as most brands of kraft paper bags specifically state that they cannot be stamped. As a test I was also able to seal the packaging with a hair straightener (which is not recommended I know, so YMMV) and it worked well - just make sure you only seal at the very top (space above the zip) or else it will fail difficult to open the package. I wouldn't rely on this as a long-term solution, but it's fine in a pinch.
