For a tractor, not a car

THIS IS FOR THE TRACTOR. Don't make the same mistake I did and order this if you're looking for one for your car or truck. This is a good quality designed for tractor tires only.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Safety

Seems well done. - Gauge Sets

I got this specifically for use on water filled tractor tires. I didn't have enough time to see if it would hold up (the old standard gauge was rotten although I always tried to drain and blow out the remaining water). I guess I can only wait and see if it works better with water filled tractor tires.

qualitative. best on scale

I drive a Honda Insight Hybrid so tire pressure is critical to get the best fuel economy. Low or incorrect tire pressure can affect fuel consumption by 10-15%. This is a great value, quality tool that doesn't take up much space and is well worth it if you care about MPG and maximum mileage from your tires. Or if you're just a car nerd. You should check it out.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Upgrade Availability

Milton, Your Brand New Son

I wouldn't buy this if I didn't have to test liquid filled tractor tires. Liquid damages conventional sensors. They have a return spring to force fluid out. So if you're not ready to take a reading, you could lose it if the meter returns quickly. This helps turn the scale you're trying to read toward you, so it happens faster. You can also put your finger on it to prevent this.

Pros
  • Testers give high marks for grip and durability
Cons
  • ---

Exactly what you need for a liquid-filled tire.

Do you have tires on your tractor that are filled with liquid? This is the product you need. It seems to read correctly. You still need to minimize liquid injection by adjusting the stem around 12:00, but pouring some liquid into it won't destroy that sensor. The only annoyance is that the pressure gauge is spring loaded so you have to read the pressure with a gauge on the rod or it will go back to 0. No big deal. solid product.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Malfunctions

Handy if you have air/water filled tires on your tractor.

Handy if you have air/water-filled tires on your tractor. There are holes for draining water (or calcium chloride solution or other antifreeze solution). My only concern is that the gauge bar is spring loaded to reset it to zero when you release the pressure. Sometimes it's difficult to get to the tire valve, then attach the pressure gauge and read it from an awkward position.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Some nuances

I have to wonder why nobody would want to own this tire pressure sensor.

Fair price and simply the best measuring device. I am ashamed to admit that I have not been able to find Milton products in any of the local stores. I bet greedy people make more money selling Chinese junk for the same selling price. I couldn't imagine a shopkeeper not wanting to sell Milton products. I'm nothing special, I have no ties to Milton or anything related. This is by far the best tire gauge I have had in almost 30 years. I will buy a dozen or more for my relatives and children thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • MILTON: Pin probes made from machined parts unlike our competitors!
Cons
  • Legacy

A big problem. fits pressure gauge

This appears to be a well made product and other reviews lead me to believe it works well - with one BIG problem: the gauge stem is spring loaded and only protrudes when the gauge is on the tyre. Valve. As soon as you remove it from the valve, the stem will break off and you will no longer be able to read the pressure. This may be a feature of the water pressure gauge, but it makes the gauge practically useless for reading car tire pressure, especially in dim light or when the tire valve isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • IDEAL: for tractors or air/water filled tires and useful in cold weather.
Cons
  • Brief Manual

Classic Tire Gauge Fits Pressure Gauge Kits

My tractor tires are filled with calcium chloride which ruins a regular tire gauge. I like the Milton brand for quality, accuracy, and easy cleaning. I've used many brands and these seem to last the longest. Neither of them will last for years, but if you clean them by dipping the end in a glass of water and pulling out the plunger each time, it will last a lot longer. Calcium chloride is just salt water which is extremely corrosive. You're now using beetroot juice, which is non-caustic butโ€ฆ
