I was very skeptical but after a day of use I was sold. I started getting pains in my wrists from typing on the keyboard for hours. My desk was too high and the back of the chair too low, causing my wrists and forearms to dig into the table. I decided to buy it to see if it would give me an artificial armrest and relieve pressure. on my hands and of course I felt the results immediately. The armrest is made of soft cheap rubber plastic that picks up lint very easily. However, the bumps provide traction to prevent slipping. It always prevents sticking to the armrest. The armrest pivots and is relatively easy to pull out if it gets in the way. The only problem is that the base protrudes a bit, so the legs often rest on it.
