Well I bought this about a year ago to connect my Android phone (3.5mm) to a Pioneer stereo (2.5mm) in my truck. I have a car phone dock that can be used for GPS and speakerphone. I routed this wire behind the dash and out to the jack on the front of my stereo. After turning it on and off for about 6-8 months, I found I had "lost" my right channel. Hmmm. Been through this for many years. He began to twist (twist) the cable from the stereo side, and it became channel. After doing this maybe 20-30 more times the wire (inside) should finally come loose. So I ordered another one. It's not something you'll find at Radio Shack, and I don't have time to make my own like I did years ago. It's worth it, especially if you've already added it to your order then don't worry about the shipping costs.
