Extra Hands for Small Projects

I needed an extra pair of hands to work on my small electronic projects. After some searching, I kept seeing PanaVise products, many of which had excellent reviews, so I decided to purchase PanaVise 209 for my electronic projects. This is a beautifully made vise, it arrived within a few days of ordering which is fine with me, I live close enough to the Revain warehouse that I never pay for expedited shipping :) The vise was a pleasant surprise when I received it the box opened was small enough to fit on my bench without getting in the way, but bigger than I thought it has, it has a matte black finish, it's lightweight, and it feels all metal except for a few plastic parts. It's not a heavy-duty tool, but it will come in handy for smaller projects like circuit boards. If I needed anything else, I wouldn't do the work in my house, I would do it in the garage, which is where all my heavy tools are anyway. Working with the vise is easy, 3 different knobs control the placement. arms and jaw width. The knob that controls the vise jaws is a bit small as mentioned by others and if you want to remotely open or close the jaws it takes a bit of work to turn the knob but this is a compromise for one more precise jaw pressure control when working with the vise. Regarding floor suction, I use the vise on a clean flat and smooth ceramic tile countertop, add some water to the rubber suction cup before use, and this baby can be securely attached to the countertop without any movement. While as I have mentioned and had others, I would not attempt to use this vise in situations that required holding something that needed to be held with aggressive or abrupt movements, but as another pair of hands for smaller ones or lighter equipment, this is a very suitable product. Overall a great purchase, I will seriously consider other PanaVise products in the future, this purchase was well worth it.
