This dock does a good job. I had never used a USB dock before so I didn't know what to expect. Two external monitors are connected to it, so I can have a total of three screens. I use every available port for things like mouse, keyboard, letter scale and they all work fine. docking station is connected. This could be an issue with Windows 7 or the laptop, not a faulty dock. If I needed another, I'd probably try another model with similar capabilities just to see if there's something that works properly. Otherwise I would not refuse the purchase.
