Really sharp and can take a beating.

Compared to the brands I've bought at local hardware stores and online, these are almost hand-forged samurai swords, hardened in the blood of sworn enemies who fell in fair fights. They could be sharper and cut smoother, but they work smart. I work with thin strips of bamboo in my work and these disposable blades are the perfect size and shape for precision work. Unfortunately for me, finding decent blades has been the bane of my existence for the last ten years. Yes, bamboo can be very heavy for tool blades, but there is no excuse for razor blades not meeting minimum acceptable manufacturing standards. They're not perfect and I've used the best, but they're the only ones I can find ANYWHERE that actually cut and hold an edge within the limits of razor blade geometry in general. I'd praise their strengths, but I think it would be a lot funnier to describe them by what they DON'T do compared to the horrible flaws of a dozen other brands I've tried: - They don't fade completely and completely. after the first short circuit. - They do not curl immediately on contact with the wood, leaving a large and visible rounded edge. "They don't chip in fifty places after five seconds of use, leaving me with a torn edge that would more accurately be described as a tiny micro saw with bad kerfs. - They didn't arrive rusted. "They don't become irrevocably dull in the middle of a cut, they slide and slide everywhere and don't leave sores on my work or myself. Blades I found AT LEAST EVERYWHERE ten years ago and of different brands, good steel and well sharpened. They are pretty good and really quite sharp and durable compared to the competition. It may have been a disposable box that works unusually well, but to this day I would not hesitate to order this brand again.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Slightly torn
