It was so effective! My feet got raw from wearing sandals this summer. Some of the skin on my feet is drying along the fingerprints and ball of the foot. I haven't found a good way to deal with this. Trimming along prints usually ended too low. The flat side of the file is great for this! The packaging recommends using it after soaking your feet, I think it's a good choice. I loved it and used it straight away on dry skin and I think I went too deep in one spot with the rough side of the file. That part of my foot was sensitive. So be careful not to get as enthusiastic as I did! My mother and sister have much worse cracked feet than mine. I immediately thought of them and they will receive them as gifts this Christmas!
