The wiring and socket can be used but the control pedal isn't very
I ended up having to cut the foot pedal off and connect the original pedal to it as the new one wasn't an adjustable control. Either off or at full speed. Luckily the old pedal was fine so I just used the wiring and jack. I ended up working for myself, but if you need everything I'd skip it.
