Dealers, mechanics, quick oil changes, they all want to change their air filter. And they want to charge you a lot for the "privilege". Most people should be able to change the air filter in their car themselves. You don't want to or think you can't? It is in order. There is no judgment here. But if you want to save $40 on your next service, do it yourself. Either way, this filter works very well. When the dealer told me to change the air filter while my car was being repaired, I declined thanks to his $40 help. I replaced it myself. I'm not sure if it really needed replacing, but I did it anyway. I also wrote the date and mileage on the new filter so I'll know next time. (Like the dealer.)
