Review on Maximize Power Transmission Efficiency with BNTECHGO AWG Magnet Wire Transformers by Boss Spangler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

More practical and easier to use than 30 ga

Many electronic components contain magnet wire rated at 30 ga.a. sometimes difficult to process. If your project calls for a small magnet wire, there's no reason to go with 30 ga. 28 ga is much easier to use and just as flexible for practical purposes. The insulation stays at 28 ga at 200 degrees C so I wouldn't try to burn it before use. It is better, faster and more efficient to use a metal file and remove it. Using a sharp knife is not enough and will gouge the wire.

Pros
  • The magnet wire is copper wire coated with a thin layer of insulating varnish. This 28AWG magnet wire weighs 4 ounces (527 feet). Copper conductors conduct electricity, the insulation consists of modified polyester with a polyamide-imide coating, which protects the spiral wire from short circuits.
Cons
  • Small Parts
