Easy to keep on hand

I needed this for a science experiment for my son's fourth grade home school class. It worked very well. It's nice that it comes in a spool, as some wire I've ordered through other people has not always been on a spool. The only downside is that it has the insulation coating, which is the red you see on the outside of the wire. You have to scrape off that coating to make the wire show on the ends to be able to have conductivity. This is difficult to do efficiently on such thin wire, and often…

Pros
  • Worked great for me, as expected.
Cons
  • The color red may not be suitable for all applications.

A little thicker than expected

This was a little thicker than expected, but I suspect it's because of the insulation. It still worked perfectly for the project I used it for.

Pros
  • The enamel coating provides optimal insulation, preventing electric current from leaking and reducing the risk of short circuits or electrical fires
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in devices with high thermal gradients.

50 feet of 18AWG enameled copper

Worked as expected. I found it odd the length was not included but it should be 50 foot given the weight, gauge, and type of material (copper).plus other 4oz spools of 18 gauge copper seem to all be 50 feet.

Pros
  • I use this wire to pull in AM/FM Radio stations stronger stereo signals and strengthens AM signals
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in high-temperature applications.

Good intentions best in my review

The product was exceptional in grade.and used to rewrap a transformer.forgot to fill the core and fried it.my bad.the product was good.my mind wasn't ha ha.

Pros
  • Thin and lightweight, making it an ideal choice for small electronic devices and appliances that require efficient wiring solutions
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in devices that require low capacitance.

Works perfect for winding metal detector coils.

Purchased to wind metal detector coils, and it's perfect. You can wind a $200 double-D coil for about $10 in parts if you understand what you are doing. Buy the book offered here on revain and you're up and running.

Pros
  • The item performs as expected after installation as a winding
Cons
  • The wire may not be flexible enough for certain applications.

What a good wire on my review.

This wire worked very well to help me build a crystal radio with my grandson. It works very well that wire did the trick. This was my second attempt to build a working radio.

Pros
  • Easy to work with, thanks to its thin and flexible form factor that makes it easy to wrap and mold in various shapes and sizes as required
Cons
  • The wire may be prone to tangling or knotting during installation.

This kind of wire is extremely useful in "hand wiring" Toroid high frequency transformer, since the insulation is extremely thin enamel, temperature rated up to 155'C. The spool allows mounting on either round shaft, allowing it to spin free, or on a hexangular shaft to be held in place. Wire size is clearly written on the top.

Pros
  • Offers excellent electrical properties, including low resistance and good conductivity, ensuring optimal performance
Cons
  • The wire may be prone to breakage or damage when subjected to stress.

Perfect for what I needed

Perfect for the application I needed it for. Was thin enough to go through the holes of the circuit board that I had. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Excellent coating, i use it for circuit board trace repairs, no short circuits
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in low-voltage applications.

Great Quality! on my review.

Great Wire. I've used it for a couple resistors already, and it does the job. Make sure you tin the ends of the wire before using them! (meaning just burn the ends with blobs of solder lol until the solder sticks)

Pros
  • Enamel rubs off really easy. Be careful when winding a transfer.
Cons
  • The spool may not be very durable and could break easily.

This stuff is so much fun to use

I bought this to use as coil for a solenoid for a school project to design/build a bell. It worked well but it took way more turns around my conduit because of the gauge wire. Would recommend that you use a smaller gauge if you plan to use it as I did.

Pros
  • Great for end fed dipole antenna
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in devices with high temperature gradients.

Happy camper best in my review

Works well for winding RF coils. Insulation is pretty tough, which is good - even if it takes a little effort to scrape it off prior to soldering.

Pros
  • BNTECHGO magnetic copper wire is widely used in the construction of transformers, wound coils, motors, solenoids, instruments, inductors, speakers, electromagnets, and other applications that require tight coils of insulated wire.
Cons
  • The wire may be difficult to splice or join to other wires.

Best for school projects

It was very easy to use for anyone trying it for the first time and it came as perfectly displayed. Definitely would buy again for a project specifically for the amount that I am given

Pros
  • Power Transmission Products
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in devices that require low resistance.

Great 20 AWG Copper Magnet Wire

LIKES:1. Easily removed from plastic spool2. Value for money spent3. The magnet wire of this 20 AWG Roll is UNIFORMLY ENAMELED4. SOLDIERS well if your application requires solderingDISLIKES1. There are lower priced 20 AWG Magnet Wire Rolls Available

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • The enamel coating may release harmful fumes when heated.

A lot more than I expected.

I got the roll of this wire and I thought, hm doesn't look like a lot. But daum is it a lot. I've rolled out so much of this and I've still got so much of it left. Amazing deal for the money and one of the best deals I've gotten/seen. If you need magnet wire for antenna transformers, baluns, and other appliances, get this one. You wont be disappointed.

Pros
  • Magnet Wire
Cons
  • The wire may be prone to kinks or knots.

Excellant value on my review.

As a person that enjoys building my own radio related electrical items, like winding toroids for antenna trans-matches, baluns, and crystal radio coils, this was perfect. I plan on winding an antenna base loading coil next. and perhaps some traps for a trapped antenna later.

Pros
  • Absolutely best deal with good quality for a beneficial price.
Cons
  • The wire is difficult to handle and can easily get tangled.

Good for electromagnetism projects

Picked up to use along with some magnets for making little electromagnetism projects with my son. Seems like good quality as far as gauge and the coating consistency. Should last a long time for my use.

Pros
  • Seems like it is going to work great, very good protective coaching and bends well
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in high-current applications.

Great for SMD connections.

This wire works great low current applications. I used them to replace the SMD LEDs on a project with larger 3mm versions. I also used it to to connect cut RGBW LED strips. To remove the enamel on the ends, I dip one end if some solder flux and put a tinned soldering iron to it for a few seconds and you will see it turn silver. It's then ready to solder to your device of choice.

Pros
  • Needed it to wind toroids. Had no issues using. Now I have 9 miles of wire left over. GOOD quality
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in devices with high precision requirements.

Is what it says it is.

Nothing much more to say. Roll of magnet wire. Going to use it to re-wind some vector monitor yokes. I didn't weigh it to make sure it was 4oz, but it looks to be sufficient for the job regardless.

Pros
  • Bought this to show the grandchildren how to make a crystal set. Still in the box -- BAD PAWPAW.
Cons
  • The wire is very thin and can easily break or snap.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality on my review.

I was very happy wire how durable this wire was even with how thin it was. The enamel coating was strong enough to not be ruined by a few kinks here or there in the wire that I happened to make. I would definitely buy this wire again if I needed it.

Pros
  • coating is a bit difficult to remove. That can mean better insulation, depending on your needs.
Cons
  • The wire may be prone to breaking or cracking when bent.

Great for electromagnets

Great for electromagnet projects. You just need to easily sand off the coating where you make connections. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • I used this to build transformers. Worked very well and I am happy with the purchase!
Cons
  • The wire may not be suitable for use in devices that require flexibility.
