I bought this when Ryzen came out because I wouldn't mind splitting this block to fit a slightly different am4 socket. When this product was released all AMD sockets used the same bracket and so it was universal for both Intel and AMD, but after Ryzen came out it only fits older sockets. I used some wire which I threaded through the holes and twisted as temporary fasteners until the real am4 water blocks came along. The block itself isn't that bad. It consists of 3 parts: an acrylic panel, a copper panel at the bottom and a black steel bracket that sits in between and has a cut out to bring everything together. There is a red gasket to seal the acrylic lid with G1/4 thread. I think the splines provided are 3/8" and the screws that come with the kit are actually pretty good. I used these to install my real am4 water block and it works great for my cold water Setup.Temperatures averaged about 7C higher than my Swiftech Apogee XL2 water block, which I don't recommend for other reasons.Read the reviews on this block to see why (it doesn't fit G1/4 -thread). But this cheap water block fits G1/4 If you are looking for a cheap entry into custom water cooling, then this is a good choice!
