That's great! We had very bad rot on the balcony railing (our fault for not keeping up with the peeling paint) and a few boards with termite damage. I found this stuff and some great tutorial videos on YouTube and decided to go for it. What did I have to lose? Make sure you're trying to pull off as much of the loose material as possible. This material is absorbed immediately. For vertical surfaces, the video I watched said to drill a few holes at an angle and let the liquid soak through the holes. It spreads in the hole. Anyway, I let it set until the next day and it was hard as a rock. I was impressed! PC Woody Epoxy was then added to fill in the gaps and you are ready to paint! I love this stuff!
