I bought a size up following the chart on the listing which is quite confusing. I still liked the material and the design, so I sent it back and bought a size down. I am a happy person now. Great pants for sleeping and lounging. However, you should check the table. Depending on my weight, height and waist, I had to get different sizes from the smallest to the largest. I wear size 34 jeans - size L fits perfectly.
