I've had this thing for about 5 months now, but my cat only discovered it recently. It's a 15lb cat and he doesn't lie in it like a bed, but I've mostly used it as an attractive scratching post in the living room to encourage him to scratch on anything other than the couch. Anyway since he discovered it he loves it but it is peeling and peeling all over. In just a few months of use, a site will quickly deteriorate. It looks like I can spin it at least once to prolong the life of the product, but I'm not sure I'll buy it again if it destroys the other sides. This is an attractive alternative to the traditional scratching post or scratching post. (He has both in another room at home, but I wanted to suggest something in the living room where he spends a lot of his time). the mess is back.
