Review on 🔌 ECCPP Starters for Ford Taurus 3.0L(182) V6 & Mercury Sable 3.0L(182) V6 (Years: 2000-2005) SFD0041 6642 by Carlito Tardy

Just installed this starter on a 2003 Taurus. Installation was easy except for the solenoid power cable to the stud. The nut that was on to connect the magnet wire was the wrong size. I had to dig through a basket full of nuts and bolts to fit them as the nut that came with the kit wasn't properly machined. And good luck finding a 1/4-24 FINE nut. Due to the size, it will not be tightened. It appears that the nut was made carelessly as the threads were tapped too deep, its ID 'slipping' along the threads of the bolt and preventing tightening. Although once installed it worked great. It's a pity that a small on-site quality control almost led to a longer car breakdown and the return of the goods.
