Good price - starters and alternators

I installed this on my 94 f350 IDI. My old one made a very loud ticking noise as the glow plugs heated up and after installing it it went away and my waiting for the lights to come on worked again.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Minor problems

Don't buy terrible quality

We installed this part on our boat and it got stuck on the first outing and we had to disconnect the battery cable from the battery to prevent the engine from starting. I took it apart to see what went wrong and the quality is terrible, very cheap contacts and a spring inside. Do not buy!

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Clarity

Saved me a lot of money.

My Triton V8 in my RV wouldn't start when I turned the key. I would only hear a click. If I kept trying to start the engine, the starter would eventually crank the engine. I swapped the solenoid and that fixed the problem. Now it runs every time this item was easy to install and saved me a lot of money. $$$$$

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not the best

Be careful when tightening fasteners!

The starter solenoid is definitely built for the price. There is a little note in the box stating not to overtighten. In fact, it means not procrastinating at all. Anyone who works with launch systems knows that imperfections lead to problems. Ordered ACDelco F3914. Seems to be of better quality.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Almost never

Fantastic on my two Fords.

Actually I ordered two of these, one for my F150 and one for my F250. You may be wondering, does a car need two starter solenoids? NO! They don't. Ford only uses the wing mount solenoid as a relay. But if they get excited, there will be problems starting. Easy installation and both trucks will work as they should no longer lag behind when starting. good and clear.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Bad experience

Click click VROOM! Best in Solenoids

Ford Love 'em or hate 'em, the remote starter solenoid is great. Unlike GM who usually mount the magneto internally in the starter due to the heat and vibration. If you keep it up in the engine bay, it will last longer. AND BONUSES. simplifies the exchange. And cheap too. If this thing only lasts 6 months I won't be upset. This magnet fits perfectly and still works perfectly.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Didn't work - caused severe headache and $$$

BUY A BETTER MAGNET - CHEAPLY MADE AND MAY NOT WORK. One morning my F150 wouldn't start, so I replaced the starter motor and magneto with this one. It still didn't work so I towed it and had a professional mechanic check it out. Even he was confused as the solenoid (and starter) were brand new. After some testing, it turned out that this starter magnet simply did not work. Replaced it with a branded solenoid valve and my truck started right away. So basically, this product is costing you a lot…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • A few minor things

Good starter magnet

I bought this because I overtightened the magnet on my deer and broke the pin. I was confused with this new one because it came with four terminals and I broke this one too. I just wanted to order another one, but the price for the Buy Again option went from $10 to $16. Anyway, I found another provider on the same site. I wanted to share that the problem with them is that they break if you overtighten them. BUT. If you add another nut and hold the first nut with a wrench. You can attach the…

SS598T Standard Starter Solenoid Problems

At 89 with 50,000 miles the original solenoid was replaced with this STANDARD brand. At the first start, the starter continued to work. Pulled out the "S" cable, the engine was still running, finally pulled out the battery cable. Checked wiring was correct. Note: This vehicle does not have "I" wiring. I tapped the new unit several times with my hand and reinstalled it. Started normally, tried again, same problem, starter works. Got the original, no problem. Went to NAPA, bought their brand…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Poor Instructions
