So far it seems to be a good product.

Well for now all I can say is that it seems worth the price. I hooked it up to a 1000w PSW inverter that only works with the 140w household fridge in our RV. So the solenoid is not really stressed. But I wanted something at this price point so I wouldn't have any issues. I will order more if needed.

Good powerful magnetic contactor.

Does what it's supposed to and connects/disconnects two circuits. It's larger than I expected, but I wanted a better rated unit and still found enough space (3" x 3") to place it next to the van's battery, which would then power the auxiliary battery inside the van powered. The block has strong traction and is noisy when shifting. I can hear him clearly in the van. It looks well made and I expect it to last a long time.

Pacifist Solenoid

I needed a 12 volt continuous contact solenoid for an old Harley gas golf cart. So I assumed this would do the job. It was of no use. So I put an old Ford solenoid I had lying around on top of it and it works. This does not even ignite when power is connected. You can't even jump over it with a screwdriver. Instead of calling it a continuous contact, maybe they should call this solenoid an anti-contact. This is a pacifist type solenoid. I thought the other people in the negative reviews hookedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I replaced a solenoid I bought from Auto Zone which probably had a low voltage coil fitted for use as a starter motor switch. The Auto Zone Solenoid worked a few weeks before failure despite the 2 year warranty and I got my money back from Auto Zone. I bought this because of the brand as the last non-brand lasted less than two years. This solved the problem immediately. The downside was the long wait for processing and then delivery. Hoping I'll get the best service time out of this.

  • Nice

Great product, great price

I bought a 60 amp continuous version of this model to install an auxiliary battery in a pickup truck. This isolates my "house battery" from my engine's battery when the ignition is off by opening the bridge circuit between the two. When the ignition is on, it closes the circuit and allows my alternator to charge both batteries together. It attaches with a pair of 1/4 inch hex head screws. As a diesel mechanic I come across many Cole Hersee products and they are always of the highest quality. Iโ€ฆ

Good product so far.

Bought to disconnect my trailer's battery from the car when it's not running. I installed it on the firewall and connected one side to the car battery via a circuit breaker. The other side is connected to the trailer wiring harness. It is powered by the daytime running lights and therefore only lights up when the vehicle is moving. I've only had it installed for a few months and so far everything is working fine. Haven't used it with a trailer yet. You can hear it from the car's cockpit when it

  • Everything is fine!

  • Working Speed

Well designed solenoids

I bought 2 of these solenoids. They appear identical to my original and work well. A small note: the end nuts are plated steel. In a marine environment they rust after a year or so and the clamps don't conduct electricity well which is why my old ones stopped working. For less than a dollar more they could supply brass nuts, or even better, copper nuts. You can get #10 brass nuts at Home Depot for less than a dollar, but 5/16-inch nuts have fine UNF threads, about $10 a dozen. I made mine byโ€ฆ

Very good relay, best parts

I bought this to control the high RPM electric Taurus fan in my 1995 Nissan hardbody pickup. The Taurus fan can draw over 40A at high settings. I didn't want to melt and damage the stock SPDT relay (30A). This relay is the same as the one that came with my T-Max Dual Battery System. I installed this relay on the plastic housing of my Taurus fan. I bought battery boot terminals to cover the large tabs from accidental shorts. ****** Update March 30, 2016 ***** I am providing an update. Theโ€ฆ

Quality Made in USA Solenoid.

I bought this relay to mount under the hood of my tractor to charge trailer batteries which power an inverter to run a Samsung household fridge at 110V AC while I'm on the road train. I run the relay from the cigarette lighter circuit to turn on the relay and the main power goes straight from the alternator to one side of the solenoid and the other side connects to the trailer tow circuit via the 200A winch plug. These wires from both the generator and trailer, as well as the correspondingโ€ฆ
