I needed a 12 volt continuous contact solenoid for an old Harley gas golf cart. So I assumed this would do the job. It was of no use. So I put an old Ford solenoid I had lying around on top of it and it works. This does not even ignite when power is connected. You can't even jump over it with a screwdriver. Instead of calling it a continuous contact, maybe they should call this solenoid an anti-contact. This is a pacifist type solenoid. I thought the other people in the negative reviews hooked it up wrong, but no, it's just rubbish.
