My two young sons really wanted me to get them a tug of war rope. So I decided to buy the 30’ x 1.5” rope thinking they can use for tug of war and I could use for exercise. As soon as the boys saw it had arrived, they demanded we play tug of war. However after just the first 30 min of battle we noticed the rope was fraying. It is concerning because it looks like it will just continue to unravel from here. I have attached two pictures I tried to take. Obviously you hope something can hold up much better than 30 min of not rough play with 7 and 11 yr olds. Time will tell if it gets worse or how fast.
