Review on πŸ”Œ Cable Matters 10-Pack of UL Listed White RJ45 Keystone Jacks for Improved SEO by Robert Lemons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly, looks good.

I've used all 10 and none had any problems. I wired my whole house with coax cables into each of my bedrooms and living rooms because I was tired of seeing the mess my cable company left me when they wired my house. Since I've already gotten my hands dirty, I've decided to use Cat6 cabling at all locations and also use a 1 gigabit room switch. I bought this set of 10 cables because I've actually used all 10 and haven't had any problems with any of them. The trick is to make sure you use the same configuration for all the cables you use. There are T-568A and T-568B configurations (you can find them on google) and for my setup I used configuration B for the heads and connections to them. Make sure you have the right tools if you plan to do it yourself. If you have a small wire stripper, it should have a small metal head that you can use to press the ethernet cable's wires into place. You don't have to strip small wires before inserting them into the sockets. All you have to do is push them into place and don't worry if the wires stick out on the sides - it's actually easier. Once they are in place, use wire cutters to snip off any excess wires sticking out the sides and reattach the cover. That's all. I have used a LEVITON 41642-W 2-Port QuickPort Decora Platform, white inserts with cutouts for various keystones and they fit well and are secure. The colors match too. You just have to make sure they are installed in the right direction. They have a top and a bottom, and even if one of the methods is correct, the neighboring element can have problems if it is not set correctly. Once properly installed, it works as expected. I had no problem with any of them detaching or falling off the wall, so 5 stars for a product that deserves it.
