The book bag is worth the money. I wasn't that impressed with the "lunch bag" as it really isn't designed to keep food cold or warm. There is no thermal insulation in the lunch bag so be aware if you go for that reason. It fits in a bento box, and you can slip an ice pack into the internal slot if needed. Just don't expect the food to stay cold as long as it would in a real lunch bag. Overall it was a great value, we got 3 items for under $30 for back to school and my picky first grader loves the design and colors. The backpack is well made, offers plenty of space and compartments and is well made. I consider the pencil and packed lunches a bonus as I would only pay that price for a backpack.
