I tried three other garlic presses before buying this one and the only reason I bought this one was to hold out until I find another one and can raise the money to buy his to buy. I've had this garlic press for almost three months and it's fantastic. He works with the largest cloves, he works with the skin that is still attached to the cloves, he works with thinly sliced ginger. This is a great garlic press. My others would grab the noose if there was too much clove of garlic in it. It happened to me twice and I was very upset. My third broke in the dishwasher. I hand wash it and let it air dry. I use these abs EVERY DAY and they are still in great shape. For the price it's freaking awesome! I will buy another one if it breaks in a few months because I spent over $39 on a garlic press and it broke for me after two months. Just buy it. That's all I have to say
