The password part might seem a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it (or just look at the last two pages), the rest isn't so bad. I really like these wooden models and I assembled the other two before making this one. Everything went well except for the beginning where you need to set the lock code. I found the instructions very confusing and ended up doing it wrong. When I got to the testing part, I noticed that my code wasn't how I set it up. This product should be listed for very advanced users. We had issues with parts breaking (which is common with this type of wood set), but when a key part broke beyond repair, I turned to the Revain company and community for advice on how to order and receive a replacement part . Deducted a star because you have to cut these pieces of wood yourself for the dowels and then make them even and smooth. The waxing of the gears is also annoying, but that's to be expected. It took longer to make the pins and wax the gears than all the steps in assembling the box combined. If only they had made the dowels I would give this 5 stars. Well, the box is a complex multi-level project and not for the faint of heart. First the package arrived looking quite worn. Arriving from China with little protection caused some limited damage, mostly trouble. Details are well carved and satisfactorily marked.
