Well, the box is a complex multi-level project and not for the faint of heart. First the package arrived looking quite worn. Arriving from China with little protection caused some limited damage, mostly trouble. Details are well carved and satisfactorily marked. Classes are sometimes a real challenge, although they did their best to explain "things". There are many opportunities to "lose your way” and pull your hair out during assembly. I would NOT recommend this box as a "starter" project, it's overly complex and really requires a lot of patience. I've finally gone through and everything is working BUT I had to improvise at one important point to 'make it work' and not everyone will go to the extreme to analyze and study the mechanism with it like I did said "it works". Some parts are very fragile and require care. All in all this is a complex project that works as described provided you are goal oriented, meticulous and appreciate the 'unique' box. All the effort and determination required took away his joy, but the satisfaction of actually completing a rather difficult and lengthy project made the difference.
