Real surprise - something works. First, it's made of fairly hard plastic that's strong enough not to break. The spindles that hold the bale are divided in a spiral, which allows the bale size to be varied. Beyond that, but most importantly, it cuts as you would expect. You just press firmly on the top and the plastic wrap will be cut. The only downside is that it doesn't automatically close at the same time. You have to lock the small latch by hand. Not so hot what's up. Much better than the last one I tried.
