What you don't see in the photo is that when you pull the strap all the way out to wear it as a crossbody bag the zipper actually jams from opening (hard to explain but it's a loop, not a long single-layer strap, so once lengthened, the loop fastens with a zipper). The strap is also quite short, especially for a shoulder bag. Was a Christmas present for a teenager so I'm disappointed. Take your $12 elsewhere. EDIT: It's only been 2 days since Christmas and the bracelet is already worn out. I lowered my rating to 2 stars because it's a cute bag, but the quality and the weird short strap just kills the deal.
