Review on Sceptre C325B 185RD: Curved Screen with DisplayPort, FreeSync, Blue Light Filter, and Built-In Speakers by Justin Knox

I received my 32" Scepter monitor a few days ago and so far I'm loving it. I'm not an expert on these things but I'll give my opinion. It was securely packaged in a factory box (see picture) which was in a was supplied with an even larger Revain box.The Revain box was actually a little big as you could feel the monitor box moving but I was glad nothing was damaged.The stand was easy to attach and the required screws and a screwdriver were supplied *Read the manual first as it says that when attaching the stand the monitor should be held face down in styrofoam (which I did) to avoid damage *I connected it and tested on my PS4. My new laptop hasn't arrived yet so I can't comment on how it looks when connected to a PC but looks great on a console. One of the best 108's 0p displays I've ever seen. The menu buttons are quite smooth, the picture is clear. Video mode is the best option, but it also has FPS and RTS modes for gaming, which reduce sharpness but should make enemies more visible and responsive in dark places. You can also customize these settings to your liking. The speakers, while not the best I've heard, are actually pretty loud. I don't need to go over 10-15. They do their job and you probably won't get any of them for sound quality anyway. You can use the audio jack on the back for a headset. I've actually noticed better response times when playing some online games. The graphics in NBA 2K look so much better than the old flat screen I used lol and I really love how the curve gives that extra immersive feeling when you're sitting right in front of you. I love the fact that this monitor can reach 185Hz. While my current console can only hit 60 fps, next-gen consoles are reportedly going to hit up to 120 fps, making this monitor future-proof. Again, I haven't received my new laptop yet, so I can't comment on the AMD FreeSync feature on this monitor or how the response time feels when playing PC games. (I saw a manufacturer's comment that it's also G-Sync compatible, so if true it should work with Nvidia cards too.) What I don't like is that the blue light filter is only up to 30% goes. The feature itself is nice and I use it every day on my phone (it should turn on at 11pm daily), but the fact that you only have 3 percent on it is a little disappointing. Nothing too serious. Also, FPS mode sacrifices image quality to offer "better visibility and response time." Unfortunately, I'll probably never use it because the picture looks so blurry and distracting when it's on. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and haven't noticed any backlight bleeding, screen tearing, or any issues in my games. I wanted a monitor larger than 24 without sacrificing too much image quality, but also without breaking the bank. That's all. For the price this is a great buy. I had saved up a few Revain gift cards so it only cost me $49 plus tax. I will take this every day of the week.
