Excellent leader for paddling in flat water. The length is a little misleading, if you stretch it to 10ft it will drag on your leg a lot. As you paddle in shallow water and hold on to the middle of the board, you'll feel a slight tension. Length when relaxed about 3 feet. The leg cuff is just enough for the ankles. It will not work for an adult calf or knee attachment. Otherwise it looks well built with good stitching, strong hinges on both ends. I wouldn't recommend it for stand up surfing as you can't reach your nose and belaying your ankle on a large surfboard can be problematic.
