This is a water detector that uses the Smartlife app to connect to Wi-Fi. I already had the Smartlife app installed so the device connected easily and without any problems. I didn't even have to enter a long WiFi password. The app itself has many features. It also has the ability to trigger a smart scene based on the state of the detector. For example, let's say it detects water. It can be set to run a pump (connected to a Wi-Fi smart socket) until water is detected. To me this can be a good backup in case the main (float) pump fails. I tested it by placing it in a sink and running water. As soon as water hit the detector, my smartphone and my device sounded an alarm. I'm sure he won't let me down. Installation is as easy as it gets. Just put it on the floor. It uses batteries that are said to last two years. One of the many features of the app is a low battery alert on your smartphone.
