This is much more effective for measuring spoons than measuring spoons. Instead of spoons, I use it to measure out all small amounts of liquids like molasses, extracts, etc. That way, if I overfill, I can squeeze that cup and return the excess to its original container. I only use scoops for DRY ingredients. This mug is hard enough for precise measurements, but soft enough to be filled and poured!
