I was hoping these were better 'nested circles' that I used to buy from another seller and have been using for several years now. My old medium sized ones (see pic purple) are still holding up after 100 washes but since my 3 year old guinea pigs are now fighting over who gets which I needed a little more to smother the arguments. in the course of the day. This is the same construction as my old ones and in my experience they hold up well to washing including stains and guinea pig chewing (my only GP could not destroy any of them). I ordered the Extra Large based on comments from other reviewers, but I would not order the Extra Large again because they are too large if you have guinea pigs that don't snuggle together. If your GPSs like to snuggle up to each other that would be great, but mine don't and insist they have their own hiding spots. The figure shows that Extra Large covers the entire width of Habitat Extra Large. I've found that since my females don't snuggle, they like smaller nest beds so they can hang their butts over their lips to go about their business and this keeps their nest as dry/clean as possible. For health reasons, guinea pigs prefer not to deposit their own urine/faeces whenever possible. Being a very large size, they can't hang from behind in the habitat so one of my GPS soaks it in urine and then doesn't use it until it's dry. Maybe I just have a tricky GPS, but that's my destiny.
