Cut, but not sharp

This is what you need: something that will actually cut paper and other stuff, but if you accidentally slip your finger across the blade or get your hand caught in it, you won't cut yourself. These scissors fit that description. Other so-called safety scissors are difficult to use, very sharp, need to be held in an awkward position, or need to use excessive force due to the springs that hold the blades apart. I really like this classic style because the metal blade is like dull stainless steel, not sharp at all but go ahead and cut paper and they cut through easily. They're also sharp enough to cut through paper instead of just sliding between the blades. In fact, I have purchased 3 different types of highly rated toddler safety scissors and have been dissatisfied with each one. I didn't feel like I could consciously let my daughter really learn without me standing over her and holding her hands etc. I remember loving this type of scissors when I was little so I looked into and bought them. I have so much confidence in her and she uses her so smoothly with a few simple instructions that I can do other things while she cuts to my heart's content.
