I've been using Sofia+Sam knee tables for about 10 years now - I've used them a few times with 13" MacBooks. Therefore, my rating is based on my experience with these lap tables. This versatile lap table has some advantages over Sofia+Sam and some disadvantages. First, what I like about it. I like the size of this lap table. It's bigger than my Sophia + Sam and I can store our headphones on the mouse pad. I can put my phone on the phone stand while using my laptop. Sophia + Sam has a ridiculous retractable tray that's supposed to be a mouse pad. and a phone holder (never used). This lap table is very light so it doesn't add much weight to the laptop when it's on your lap. He is much lighter than my Sophia + Sam. Now for the things I don't like. and I prefer Sophia+Sam.Sophia+Sam has a better design.Sophia+Sam has beveled edges, the surface is a solid surface, no hemmed edge, the palm rest is high quality, and the foam underneath is big hard piece, not 2 sections like with this lap brace. What will I choose again in the end? I would probably choose Sofia+Sam for the comfort of the foam and quality construction. I'm torn because I love the sheer size of this lap table and I love having the mouse pad on the surface rather than on the drawer.
