Pro: works. It lights up. The markers work. There is a marker compartment for safe storage. Cons: The light inside is incredibly dim. It's like it's a real flashlight and we put real paper on it to show the pattern to be projected - that's the only way I can really describe how faint it is. It says that you can only use those markers (annoying - because you only have a few colors, and if you lose them.). It has a handle to move it around, and while it changes size very little, it seems like a design flaw in the way it's been set up. It's more of a focus tool. but because the light is so dim it's hard to see to focus anyway. We bought it for my son to play with (not for a night light as some have suggested). And he played with it once or twice. That's not bad. but I had high hopes, despite other reviews.
