Fun in the sun with no sunburns! I wore these to snorkel, for a river innertubing trip, kayaking, to the pool, and a water park. I wore a pair of swim bottoms underneath, as they do not have a gusset. The waistband has a bad habit of rolling horribly when I put them on, but a little work to unroll and smooth it, and it is comfortable to wear. In sandy areas, like the surf at the beach, sand can get under the bottom cuffs, but it is easy enough to pull the cuffs up and rinse off. They dried quickly, and while I was worried that the black would make them too hot, they were thin enough to be comfortable. I actually splashed myself a few times when I got too hot, and the evaporation was nicely cooling. On cooler days, the same fast evaporation meant that they weren't clammy, and moving into the sun dried me off quickly.These were especially good for snorkeling around coral reefs, as sunscreen can be harmful to the reef and marine animals. As a bonus, they worked better than sunscreen, since they didn't wear off and I couldn't miss a spot. I would suggest that everyone who has a pool, plans to visit the beach, or otherwise likes sun and water, gets a pair of these.
