Review on 💡 Lithonia Lighting Dimmable LED Square Flush Mount FMLSDL 20 - 4000 Lumens, 44W, 120V, Damp Listed - White by Rebecca Massey

I usually like Lithonia lamps. However, I was a bit disappointed with this. First impression: It's quite a large size and pretty decent build quality (for a plastic LED light anyway :) I chose it from the similar Hypericon lights I usually get for my clients (I work as an electrician and choose usually this type). as a replacement for a pre-made garage fluorescent tube for my customers) First problem: This light is designed to fit in a 4 inch light output box. What's wrong with that, you ask? are 3 inches in diameter (actually 3.5 inches), so it's a little awkward to attach a light that big to a standard lightbox. I used a standard 8-32 bolt paired with a fender washer to get into one of the box's mounting holes. I then used a molly anchor for the second hole in the drywall. The second problem (and frankly the most important one for me): the light output of this lamp is quite weak (aka: lumens). I am almost sure. that's not the advertised 4400 lumens (no, I don't know how all these different LED manufacturers can claim light output/brightness, and yet they vary wildly in that area). Third and lastly, it is more expensive than Hypericon. Hypericon is certainly brighter and cheaper. So the result is the next project: the purchase of Hypericon.
