We don't have a center light in our bedroom and that allowed us to pretend we did! I have to say the location of the switch is incredibly annoying as it is so close to the lamp socket. Hanging it from the ceiling meant I had to ask my friend (who is a lot taller than me) to turn it on and off for us as I just can't reach that height. There is another model with a different style of switch that is closer to the plug than the bulb socket. If I could do an overhaul, I'd probably do it instead to make it easier to access. Other than that I really love this cable and am very happy with my purchase!
