When new this is a beautiful, durable Black Chrome or 'Pearl Black' License Plate Frame. Matching plastic screw covers give it a nice clean look. Looks and feels like good quality. The problem was that after only 1 winter it started to rust and although I've been able to keep using it the corrosion doesn't look good. The corrosion is not the color of rust, more like the whitish color that develops on a pan. I can make it look a little better with a chrome cleaner, but in the long run it needs to be replaced to keep it looking good. To be honest, I'm in a state that uses salt in the winter, so maybe it could look good longer in warmer states. I think a more expensive pearl black stainless steel frame would be a better choice.
