this is a very good product, although when I purchase a new gmc truck I need to add a power filter because the change GMC or Chevey made to the 7 way power. I use this product as intended, but if you want to use this without lights on tow vehicle you would need a constant power, I also Have the backup camera and that is where i put the power fiter wire (VGR64VR from Etrailer) you only need one and it is only required for the 2022 and 2023 chevy trucks
