I bought this because my partner's beard was dry and rough and he complained of itching. His pores clog easily, so I did a lot of product research to make sure I wasn't buying him something that was too oily or just didn't work. (I'm a beautician) He's a rough manly man and when he first tried it it was like a woman finding the best lipstick that doesn't smudge or crack. He went on and talked about how good it smelled and how the beard wash from the same line made it so clean yet so hydrated and the detangler was the icing on the cake and made it super soft and smelled amazing.
