Super thick bottoms!
I'm used to running socks being thick at the heel and ball but these were super thick! I'm sure if that's what you are looking for these are perfect. I would have said the thickness was more suited for hiking, but that's just me. Otherwise they work well and don't slide into my shoe like some other ankle socks can do.
